India remains among the countries reporting significant measles activity, according to a report citing provisional data submitted to the World Health Organization (WHO) for April–October 2025.
The report also notes that India has launched a National Zero Measles-Rubella Elimination Campaign (2025–26), with an aim to eliminate the diseases by 2026, alongside strengthened surveillance and last-mile immunisation outreach.
